Sketches for Corporate Identity Project

Corportate Identity Project

For my Corporate Identity project I chose to do a business called "Where the Heart Is." It is similar to a match.com except it helps you find your perfect home instead. I chose a color scheme of light yellow. navy blue and black because I felt that those colors combined together gave a professional look to the business. For the font I chose a readable script so that it looked both professional and easy to read to the customer.

Corporate Identity Questionaire

1) What is your business? We help people to find their perfect house. Why is this important: This is important because often people settle for a house that doesn't meet many of their needs when there could be others out there that do. 2) Describe your business in one sentence We help people to find the perfect house for them. It is similar to how match.com works except for finding a house instead of a person. This is important so that people can be able to get matched to the house they want without having to put in a lot of work when they're busy doing other things in their life. 3) Who is your target audience? Our target audience is anyone who is looking to buy a home/ apartment/ piece of property. 4) Who are your competitors? Our competitors are realtors and real estate businesses. 5) What makes them better/worse than your product/service? What makes them better is that some people prefer to go back and forth with a person talking about their house rather than using the internet and doing it from their home. What makes them worse is that others may prefer to shop for their new house right from their current home or wherever they are where they can access a computer. Their target audience is the same as ours: people looking to buy property. These following questions might seem silly, but their purpose is to help generate ideas. 1) How do you want your image to be seen in two years? In two years, I want my image to be seen as a major company that helps people find their perfect home or property. I want it to be a trust-worthy company that many people will want to use. 2) If your company was an animal, what animal would it be and why? A leopard because it is faster than finding a realtor, and new and exciting. 3) If your company/brand was a person, who would it be and why? Donald Trump because it is a new company that would get a lot of help by having a celebrity like Donald Trump represent it or be the spokesperson for it. 4) If your company/brand was an object, what would it be? A new designer handbag because it is fresh, new, and exciting. Why is this important: Might give you ideas. 5) If your customer was a cartoon character, who would it be? Spongebob because he's optimistic and cheerful like the company should be.

Lyrical Collage

For my lyrical collage I chose to use the lyrics from Boyce Avenue's cover of "Fast Car" originally by Tracy Chapman. The tools I used the most were the eraser and blur tools to make all the different images I used somewhat blend together and look more rounded rather than square.

Jay Adams Internet Badge

For this picture of Jay Adams I used the both the blur and bandaid tools to eliminate the wrinkles on his face and to remove some of the gray from his hair, while making it still look natural. Also I removed the glare that was near the Emmy award that he wanted to show off so more attention would be focused on that and less would be focused on the glare.

Assignment due April 10th 2013

For this assignment, I wanted to create and abstract background instead of the normal scenery graphics you usually see. The main tools I used in this assignment were the gradient tool and the clouds filter to create a mix of colors. To add more to the background, I drew my initials with the paint brush tool on top.

Putting myself in an exotic place assignment - Me in Tahiti

To make this picture I created two different documents, one with the picture I was going to use for the place I wanted to put myself in (Tahiti), and one with the picture of me that I was going to use. For the picture of me I traced myself with the magnetic lasso tool and when I finished this I dragged the image of myself that I had traced onto the picture of Tahiti. I then shrunk the tracing of myself down to make the picture look more natural. In addition I added a "shadow" behind myself also to make the picture look more natural by using the elliptical marquee tool and then filling in the color to match the other shadow colors in the picture. After this, I decreased the opacity of the circle color and added a box blur filter to finish off this assignment.
