For my Corporate Identity project I chose to do a business called "Where the Heart Is." It is similar to a match.com except it helps you find your perfect home instead. I chose a color scheme of light yellow. navy blue and black because I felt that those colors combined together gave a professional look to the business. For the font I chose a readable script so that it looked both professional and easy to read to the customer.
For this picture of Jay Adams I used the both the blur and bandaid tools to eliminate the wrinkles on his face and to remove some of the gray from his hair, while making it still look natural. Also I removed the glare that was near the Emmy award that he wanted to show off so more attention would be focused on that and less would be focused on the glare.
For this assignment, I wanted to create and abstract background instead of the normal scenery graphics you usually see. The main tools I used in this assignment were the gradient tool and the clouds filter to create a mix of colors. To add more to the background, I drew my initials with the paint brush tool on top.
To make this picture I created two different documents, one with the picture I was going to use for the place I wanted to put myself in (Tahiti), and one with the picture of me that I was going to use. For the picture of me I traced myself with the magnetic lasso tool and when I finished this I dragged the image of myself that I had traced onto the picture of Tahiti. I then shrunk the tracing of myself down to make the picture look more natural. In addition I added a "shadow" behind myself also to make the picture look more natural by using the elliptical marquee tool and then filling in the color to match the other shadow colors in the picture. After this, I decreased the opacity of the circle color and added a box blur filter to finish off this assignment.
I like the Corona Extra logo and think it is successful because it stands out with its color and font. The audience it would pertain to would most likely be college students and adults in their 20's.
I don't like the colors used in this logo but I think it is successful because it says the company name in the logo, and also because that color scheme is psychologically known to make people more hungry. I think that there is a wide variety of ages as the target audience.
I like this logo because it is simple and not too distracting. I think it is successful because even though it is just a check mark with Nike written above it, whenever it is seen, mostly anyone can recognize it because it is so simple. The target audience for this logo is most likely athletes.
I like this logo and think it's successful because it's simple also. It is never usually confused with other similar logos. I think there is a wide variety of ages as the target audience.
I like this logo and think it's successful because it says what the company is selling in the logo. It is also easily recognized by most people. The target audience would be anyone who drinks coffee or tea.
